I made this for a little challenge going on at the parenting site that has kept me halfway sane over the past 5 years (should I just abbreviate that to PSTHKMHSOTPFY from now on I wonder?) on the topic blue
it allowed me to indulge my twin passions: my new pinking shears and the sewing of fabric to non-fabric (luckily I seem to have kicked the recent sewing to milk cartons compulsion and have weaned myself onto card stock - much softer stuff). The fabric is from some Primark cotton pyjamas I bought in the biggest size they had in order to get max fabric out of them. They have some cute fabrics in their pyjamas sometimes...Primark, top tip...
here's another...
(this one is a recycled vintage tablecloth from the charity shop, I love the fabric)
handy to have around and say everything I want them to...

I think they are lovely !
Super cute ! I need new pinking shears , thanks for the reminder
I have pinking shears envy...for I have none!
I tried sewing material to card a while ago...and like you, loved it. It feels strangely exciting to not just be putting fabric through the machine. However, on the downside, I have Amy Karol's words in Bend the Rules going round my head saying that you must change your needle for each new project...double guilt with leaving the same one in there after sewing through card!
Those cards are lovely! Great fabrics and lovely pinking!!!!
Great tip on buying the largest pjs for extra fabric. You are SO right -- it is the same price as a Small, after all!
Don't you love pinking shears?
It makes me feel ... *professional*...
Primark - total top tip !! I'd never have thought of that. Pinking shears are the best aren't they. My Grandmother gave me hers a while ago...I was SO thrilled .
Hang on...why won't blogger let me tell you how much I love the tablecloth fabric????
If this doesn't work I'm giving up and throwing a strop......
I love my pinking shears too - they make such a great noise when they're cutting through the fabric. Cute cards!
Great idea!! I may just have to go and make some!
